
Bucks Lake is at 5000 ft. elevation. Trees are mostly conifers, predominantly Pine and Douglas Fir. Tempratures run in the 70's and 80's and summer thundershowers are possible. The Lake provides swimming, fishing and water skiing. There are two full service resorts in the area with restaurants, groceries, propane, gasoline and boat ramps available.
Northwest Park Managenent operates six U.S. Forest Service campgrounds in the Bucks Lake Recreation Area with a total of 67 sites. Campgrounds are near the lake and have vault toilets and piped in water.No hookups are available. All sites have a parking spur, picnic table and fire ring-bbq. Sites will accomodate up to 27 ft trailers comfortably and occupancy is limited to 6 persons and 2 vehicles per site.. Maximum stay is 14 days. Reservations are available at the group campground only. Facilities are generally open from June to October.
