The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs all improvements within the recreation area, under the direction of the Area Manager. Rakes, sweeps, paints tables, restrooms and signs, falls and bucks hazard trees, cuts brush, cleans restrooms and firepits, repairs barriers, posts, tables, plumbing and restroom buildings. Must have a good background in general construction skills including carpentry and plumbing. Must be able to work without supervision and be able to complete projects in a timely manner. Must have own RV and be willing to live in the campground for three to six months. Must be on-site five days per week. Must be physically able to perform raking, shoveling, sweeping and other more strenuous labor at altitudes up to 5000 ft. elevation.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for day to day repairs of items broken through vandalism, negligence or ordinary wear and shares responsibility with other employees for the safety and cleanliness of the area. Assists in the opening and closing of the recreation area and works toward completion of the contractual obligations as listed in the yearly operation plan.
