CAMPGROUND HOST

Job description and duties

The Campground Host greets campers, gives directions, helps campers feel at home, performs minor maintenance, keeps some records and occasionally fills out forms. A Host must work well with people, be personable and neat in appearence. You must have your own RV and be willing to live in the campground for three to six months. You will be required to be on-site five days per week, especially on weekends and heavy use holidays. A Host must be physically able to perform some raking, shoveling and sweeping. You may be required to live at altitudes up to 5000 ft. elevation

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Your most important job as a Campround Host is to help Northwest Park Management and the U.S. Forest Service in providing an enjoyable camping experience for the public. The Host is the first and sometimes the only contact with campground users. The impression you make directly influences their stay in our campground and consequently whether they will return. As our most visible representitive, You are our eyes and ears, helping to deter vandalism and maintain rule compliance. The Host sets an example by following all of our rules and regulations, the same as we require other campers to follow. Greet your campers with a smile, offer any assistance you can and try to do anything that could make their stay memorable. Be courteous in answering questions, wear your Northwest Park Management identification while in the campground and introduce yourself when making public contact. You will be issued a Host binder which will better orient you to answer questions about your area.
